MY FAVOURITES, SS14 TRENDS: LOGO/SLOGAN TEES

Scottish designer Christopher Kane had some amazing graphic tees this year, they made fun of one of the most predictable trends that always shows up in Spring/Summer, floral. Yes! floral, whats that quote from The Devil Wears Prada? 'Floral for spring, groundbreaking'. They have been done to death so Kane decided to give it a modern twist.

My sure favourite from this trend has got to be Alexander Wang's 'Parental Advisory' jumper. I mean, it's just so edgy, the sheer with just a white panel to hide you. I would love to wear this with a pair of ripped black jeans and a pair of all back converse, it would definitely add a twist to a simple jumper, jean combo.

The final favourite of this trend comes from designer Ashish, his use on the logo of Coca Cola is so simple that it works! It's weird just by putting a common brand on a t-shirt instantly makes you want it, it's like you want to represent the company by showing your love for a fizzy beverage.

I have always had a love for graphic tees because they are so easy to pair with anything, you can dress them up with a pair of heels or dress them down with a pair of jeans and pair of converse, they're something that you can always get away with!

Kiera

MY FAVOURITES, SS14 TRENDS: MONOCHROME

The Catwalks of Spring/Summer 2014 have been graced again with the amazing, yet simplistic trend of monochrome. While I was searching through all the designers I found some standout faves!

Lets start with the magnificent Karl Lagerfeld, he had one of my favourite pieces by far, the white suit with black detailing (Unf...). I can just imagine wearing this with nothing underneath with a pair of black heels on a night out (you know, if I could ever afford anything like that), it just oozes sex appeal!

A.L.C had an amazing pair of Beetlejuice inspired trousers which had a more relaxed fit. These would look amazing with a simple black shirt and a pair of black heels, or pumps if you want a more casual look.

I fell in love with designer Adam Andrascik's black sheer dress layered over a simple white dress as soon as I seen it. It has a hint of the 90's to it, with the layering, I also love the look of the contrasting thin black straps on the white.

These are just a few of my favourites from Spring/Summer 2014 of the monochrome trend. This trend appears nearly every year on the catwalk but, what's that saying? Don't fix what ain't broken! Monochrome works for everyone as it is so simplistic, it can be achieved by just a white t-shirt and a pair of black jeans. It's that easy!
