MONSTERS UNIVERSITY | REVIEW

As a kid of the 90s I am extremely well acquainted with Disney movie franchise, from the Lion King to Toy Story, I loved them all but Monsters Inc. well ... I never really got it. Maybe it was the fact that I was only six when it came out or that the idea of creatures from your nightmares would creep into your room at night and terrify you to keep their world alive just really never appealed to me. So when my friends suggested that we go and see it to bring back childhood memories I wasn't really up for it but they twisted my arm (that's such a weird saying, you're basically being forced into it!).

So I hate to say it but ... it actually wasn't that bad! One thing I was really happy to see was the little umbrella love story that I had seen all over tumblr, (yeah, I know not even in the film!) it was so cute! long story short its about a blue umbrella and red umbrella who fall in love on a rainy day and through bad times they still find each other.

The actual movie itself was better that I expected it to be, I liked finding out how all the characters where created and how the became who the were in the Monsters Inc. I really enjoyed the little random funny parts that just made me laugh especially that bits with squishys mum! I was actually kind of scared of the principal, she flies AND has lots of legs.

To end I really loved the end message of the film is that not getting into college or university is not the worst thing that could ever happen in your life but if you work hard and believe you will get there.

Surprisingly I would recommended this movie to people as does give you a few go laughs and a good story-line, also the message is good thing to pass on to younger people.

SUN, SEX AND SUSPICIOUS PARENTS!

So this story has nothing to do with actually having sex. Yeah, I know misleading title BUT keep reading because does come into it (unplanned innuendo).

So I'm weird because when we actually do get good weather in Britain in want to go somewhere  else for good weather. I was walking down the street making my way to work listening to my music and the sun shining in the sky (cheesy, I know) and it just made me want to go back in time to last year when I was in Florida soaking up the sun without a care in the world!

Please, can I go back? I miss waking up everyday and not needed to care about anything no responsibilities and no worries, living the Hakuna Matata lifestyle! I stayed in the Enclave Suites just off of International Drive which is an amazing place and I have know stayed three three times. It's so close to everything I needed, restaurants not even five minutes and you can just jump on the I-Ride to each outlet mall which was perfect for me!

One thing I don't really miss about Florida is the theme parks, it's like as soon as people enter the park they lose all their manners and don't give a f**k about anyone else. Just hundreds of people pushing and shoving to get a ride, like really? It's not like it's first come first served everyone gets a go also the sneaky people who think that if a group of them go through the single rider line they'll get to the front faster and then regroup on the ride, what the f**k?

Something I have noticed about myself when I'm on holiday is that I JUST WANNA HAVE SEX! I don't know what is wrong with me, I don't know if its just the sun going to my brain or the fact that nothing is worrying I can just be free! The only thing is that is my complete lack allure already shot that horse in the face (guess that movie!) also the fact that I have the worlds most suspicious parents. I can come in most night from hanging out with my friends and its like a game of twenty questions, where have you been? who were you with? were you drinking? Like oh my God just trust me! So the fact is when you combine they two things it results in me being forever alone.

I just love being on holiday and not giving a f**k what people think about you because you never going to see them again, like not caring what people think of you in a swimsuit or how much you eat because they have the same philosophy.

To end, I want to go holiday and have the Hakuna Matata lifestyle, even just for a couple of weeks!

ASHTON LANE | REVIEW | ONE KISS LATER

The slightly faded remembrance of earlier today...

So today I had the amazing opportunity to go and see, plus review the up and coming country music band Ashton Lane. The three piece band consists of a brother and sister, Jamie and Esther, and her husband Tim but tonight due to unknown reasons the brother was replaced with his father. The music played was extremely soothing, the type of music you would listen to if you just wanted to have a lazy day in bed.

The gig was held in an amazing bar called Maggie Mays on Trongate, Glasgow. Me and Jasmine (also known as Jasmine Ivy Jones, look her up) arrived early to the gig so we sat and had a couple of drinks, the atmosphere of the place was incredible, good old style music playing in the background and people laughing and having conversations.

At eight the gig started but very well! Lets just say the opening support act had no stage presence, they didn't even tell the audience the name of their group AND they where out of tune for most of their set so I don't think they are worth a mention! Back to the actual enjoyable part of the night Ashton Lane, when they arrived on stage they got a warm welcome from the audience which gave me high hopes for this band and I was not disappointed! The thing a enjoyed most about this trio was the fact that the songs they had wrote and sang had actual meaning to them, not just some catchy tune. Just because as in life nothing is perfect there was some downfalls with the band, each time they sang a love song the husband and wife would gaze into each others eyes and by the fifth time they done it, it became a bit gimmicky. I also thought a lot of the songs where the same, not much variety. I also had to wait all night until the last song to hear the only song I know from their album, which was quite frustrating.

Esther and her father.

To finish up, I did really like the band but they are nothing that I've not already seen before, they reminder of the country music stars Lady Antebellum with their music choice and the set up of the group. If you like easy listening country music with actual meaning this is the band for you!

GELLY HI SHINE NAIL PAINT BY BARRY M | GELLY RAINBOW | REVIEW

Recently I have now started having a new addiction, BRIGHT nail paint! I have always been a fan of Barry M nail products as of the wide variety of colours and affordable price. so when i was in Superdrug and saw that Barry M had created a new nail polish, a gel formula which promises a excellent long lasting shine. Knowing me I don' t anything by halves so ended up buying SIX of them! Due to a 3 for 2 promotional offer on at Superdrug I got them for the price of four, £15.96 (actual price £23.94) each nail paint cost £3.99 which I thought was quite reasonable.

L-R (Guava, Greenberry, Papaya, Grapefruit, Prickly Pear and Lychee)

I'm a sucker for nicely named nail polishes and bright colours so these are right up my alley! When first bought these I quickly put on Papaya and to my disappointment the polish started to chip within two days, I also thought that the smell of the polish was a lot more pungent than regular Barry M nail paints.

I would honestly recommend these nail paints as they are great bright colours for the summer time and it could be my fault that my nails chipped. I really like the range of colour that comes with the Gelly Hi Shine nail paint, I am currently wearing Greenberry, the colour comes out very well and stays true to the colour in the bottle.

DAY OUT IN POLLOK PARK | PHOTOGRAPHY

So a couple of weeks ago I went to Pollok Park as part of my photography course but then because of some personal reasons I had to leave school. I still really wanted to finish my course so here are some of my photoshoot at the park.

I chose these images as my favorite from this photoshoot as they fitted extremely well with my theme of an abstract/distorted reality.

Have an awesome day!

BOURJOIS' LINER FEUTRE FELT-TIP EYE LINER | REVIEW

As a teenage girl growing up in the modern age I basically rely on eye liner and other make up essentials to give me self worth, so when it came the time to opt for a new everyday eye liner I decided to go for something easy to apply and is long lasting, boy was I wrong. The Liner Feutre promises easy application without difficulty which yes it partly true due to the fine tip but the liner liquid/ink shall we call it goes onto the skin very light and washed out looking, this didn’t appeal to me because I like my eye liner black not washed out grey! I can definitely say that the quality was not worth the price, I was lucky enough to get £2 off the actually price (£6.99) as of Superdrugs offer but it was not nearly with that! I feel sorry for anyone who actually had to pay full price. To sum up I was extremely disappointed with this product as I had bought Bourjois’ Clubbing Liquid Eye Liner before and found it be very long lasting, extremely black and easy to apply. Come on Bourjois, step up your game!

BUTTERFLY SAVIORS!

So me, Jasmine, Beth and others decided to meet up and go to Starbucks (yeah, I know teenage girls going to Starbucks “how rare"). After me and Jasmine met up with Beth we where making our to Starbucks when we came across our new friend Burt.

This Burt the butterfly, ya get it? Burt, burterfly. Yeah lame I know. We found him in the middle of the road struggling to walk/fly so we decided out of the kindness of our souls to be good Samaritans. We picked him up and settled him down on a near by bush so can re-gain his strength and we continued on our walk to Starbucks.
